IntroductionThe Timeraiser helps nonprofit and voluntary organizations, large and small, connect with potential volunteers. We know Canadians in their 20s and 30s are one of the hardest demographics to reach. This is why we have put so much energy into ensuring the Timeraiser an easy way to connect with skilled and energetic volunteers. The three main objectives of the Timeraiser are to: • Connect your organization to skilled and energetic volunteers • Raise awareness about your organization in the community • Bring together the arts and not-for-profit sectors to create community connections To date the Timeraiser has worked with over 250 charitable organizations. Check out this brief agency workshop video to understand what is involved in being a Timeraiser agency. How the call worksAny charitable organization can apply online and submit an application. A volunteer jury comprised of community members and Timeraiser volunteers who are well-versed in the local non profit community will then select which agencies will participate at the Timeraiser. See the FAQ section for more details. Selection CriteriaWe follow a specific set of criteria when selecting our partner agencies for each Timeraiser. We strive to provide our Timeraiser participants with a variety of interesting volunteer opportunities that will inspire them to volunteer in the long-term. The criteria are: • Mix of volunteer opportunities • Capacity to engage volunteers • Diverse pool of agencies | Call to Agency Schedule• 2010 Toronto – Closed • 2010 Hamilton – Closed • 2010 London – Closed • 2010 Calgary – Closed • 2010 Vancouver – Opens April 18, 2010 • 2010 Edmonton –Opens April 18, 2010 • 2010 Ottawa – Opens April 18, 2010
